Safe Driving Pledge
In Remembrance of Maryella and Elizabeth Annal
There were several factors that contributed to the devastating crash that took the lives of Maryella and Elizabeth on September 3, 2020.
We want to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and remind everyone of the importance of giving driving their full attention.
We hope you will join us by making a commitment to safer driving and signing the pledge below.
Distracted driving is dangerous and preventable. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving contributed to 3,204 deaths and 315,167 injuries in the United States in 2024. We all have the power to help change these numbers by making safe choices every time we get behind the wheel.
I Promise:
- To put my phone and other electronic devices away while driving.
- To never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- To avoid multitasking and keep my full attention on driving.
- To obey posted speed limits and drive at a safe speed for conditions.
- To encourage my family and friends to respectfully speak up if they see me driving distracted.
- To be a positive role model for safe driving for my family, friends, and community.
